John Sievers

"John Sievers is a trombonist and writer. He leads The D’Sievers jazz ensemble and performs with Loud Mouth Brass and other local bands. He runs a monthly jazz jam at Forager Brewery. He writes stories about the arts and culture for the Rochester Post Bulletin and has posted a haiku every day online. He also curtes a weekly poem on the Chateau Marquee. John has organized jazz fests, an art and music crawl, a music video festival, and continues to curate and book music for local concert series and events. He has a Ph.D. In Elizabethan Literature and loves mermaids.
