Beth Sievers

Beth has always loved creating art. In 2003, she started in stained glass and transitioned to encaustic in 2008. In 2016, she started showing her work publicly and working almost exclusively on salvaged wood. She sorts through cast off wood piles of local woodturners and forages through cabinet company’s dumpsters and at the local public utility company for cast off wood. Not only does using salvaged wood help keep her prices lower, it also benefits the environment.

Beth’s formal education was in nursing. She graduated from Mount Mercy University and received a Masters of Nursing from Winona State University. She moved to Rochester in 2000 to pursue a career at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester. She has worked as a staff nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). Beth also curates the art gallery space at 125 Live. She is proud of the artistic family she has created with her husband and two daughters.

Healing is a central theme in Beth’s life. Creating art heals and she believes having original art in your home helps create an environment of healing for the owner as well.
